Welcome to Laconia Kiwanis!

The Laconia Kiwanis Club, founded in 1927, has long been dedicated to improving the lives of children and families throughout the Lakes Region. From early community service efforts to major initiatives such as its long-standing scholarship contributions—totaling more than $150,000 over the decades—the club has continually invested in local youth and education.

Programs have evolved to meet changing needs, including the creation of the Kiwanis K.A.R.E.S. literacy initiative, which provides free books to elementary students. As part of Kiwanis International, the Laconia club pairs deep local impact with the strength of a global service network.

Our members represent a diverse mix of ages, genders, occupations, backgrounds, and interests, united by a shared passion for creating a better world for children. We are dedicated to serving the children of our local community—and children across the country and around the world—through innovative service projects and impactful fundraising initiatives that help them thrive.
