On March 3, Kiwanis visited Woodland Heights Elementary School as part of the Kiwanis KARES program to celebrate reading and the imaginative world of Dr. Seuss. Hosted by Mrs. Robbie Neylon for WHS 3rd-grade classes, the event brought together students and Kiwanis volunteers for a morning focused on the joy of books.

The Laconia Kiwanis Club completed its final KARES visit of this school year to Elm Street Elementary School on Tuesday, February 10th, marking the conclusion of three impactful sessions with students.

The Laconia Kiwanis Club proudly hosted our 4th Annual Free Throw & Jumping High Competition on Sunday, February 1st — and what a success it was!

Congratulations to all the boys and girls who participated. Your effort, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship made the day special.

On January 22, Laconia Kiwanis presented a Kids and Reading Equals Success (K.A.R.E.S.) event at the Pleasant Street School.

Attendance: 6 Members, 0 Guests. The first member meeting of 2026 began with dinner and conversation, followed by Happy Dollars as members shared recent joys—from reconnecting with old friends and hitting the ski slopes to tackling home projects and enjoying quiet time by the fire with a cozy pup.

An update was shared on the Free Throw Contest, with 47 participants pre-registered and strong volunteer support from the school district, Bank of New Hampshire, Key Club, Lou Athanas Basketball, and Kiwanis members. Betty has done an outstanding job organizing the event.
