The Laconia Kiwanis Free Throw Competition is a fun, high-energy youth basketball event that brings the community together while supporting kids in the Lakes Region.
Each year, local youth step up to the line to test their shooting skills in a friendly, encouraging atmosphere. The event is open to boys and girls of various age groups, with volunteers, coaches, and Kiwanis members on hand to cheer them on and keep things running smoothly. It’s competitive—but always positive, inclusive, and focused on sportsmanship.
Beyond the baskets, the Free Throw Competition is about confidence, teamwork, and community support. Proceeds and partnerships help fuel Kiwanis programs that benefit children and families throughout the Laconia area, making every shot count for something bigger.
